Pantry Clean Out For Passover 2014

With Passover 2014 just days away, I completed my annual Pantry Clean Out today. If you follow me in Instagram you would have seen progress photos but I thought I’d dedicate a whole blog post to my annual tradition.

To start with my pantry was in a really sorry state – random bags piled dangerously high on each shelf… are you ready for the before picture?? Here you go:

Ugh! Totally embarrassing that I’ve let my pantry get to this… it’s just so disorganized and has been tricky to find what I need for AGES!

To start with I remove each item, one at a time – checking the use by date as I go and tossing old tins/jars away. All items I’m keeping and which is grain free for Passover goes onto my dining table – and I have a couple of boxes standing by to move the grainy non Passover items away from the kitchen.

So after a little while my dining table looks like this…

And my pantry is COMPLETELY empty and I can CLEAN to my hearts content!

Behold… my empty pantry…

Then, it’s the fun task of re-stocking my pantry – item by item, shelf by shelf.

I am now so much happier with my pantry contents – everything is MUCH easier to find and it’s grain free and ready for Passover:

Turns out I have WAY more nuts and nut flours than I realized – so it’s going to be fun creating some yummy treats with my nut bounty… I’m starting with a Grain Free Granola and Cinnamon Balls that I’ll share recipes for in the coming week.

Now I’m done with my annual pantry clean out and feel cleansed and ready to take on Passover 2014!

Maybe this post will inspire you to clean your pantry out too. 😉
