Revealed: The Most Useful Tool In My Kitchen
My kitchen is overflowing with all sorts of interesting tools and gadgets. The most useful ones are the ones which I use on a daily basis and help solve a critical kitchen dilemma. The prize for the most useful tool in my kitchen is undoubtedly my trusty stainless steel apple corer.
When we go out and about I usually take a snack box of apple slices amongst other nourishing foods. When we’re home, however, my kids love their apples WHOLE. Initially I gave them the whole apple to eat but quickly discovered that they would eat the WHOLE apple – pips, core and stalk! The whole apple vanishing before our eyes.
I knew that I couldn’t allow them to consistently eat whole apples and that a corer would be a must.
I can’t tell you how many apple corers we went through before actually shelling out on a proper, well made stainless steel apple corer. The cheap apple corers were truly rubbish – quickly bending after a couple of uses.
Our stainless steel apple corer has lasted over a year already and still in perfect shape after daily coring an apple or three!
I simply wouldn’t know what to do without my apple corer!
