Garlic Mashed Potatoes

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Recipe - creamy, easy & the BEST mashed potatoes!

I’ve been sharing 3 posts a week for over 6 months now and I’ve noticed myself gravitating to 3 ingredients over and over and over again: Parmesan, Feta and Garlic. (Make sure to subscribe!) Not always in the same recipe but most of my recipes contain and least ONE of those ingredients. I guess I must be going through a phase of craving salty and strong flavoured foods because I just can’t get enough of them.

These garlic mashed potatoes are PACKED with garlic and so beautifully flavourful that I’ve been making it as a side time and time again lately.

You can adapt this recipe to suit your tastes though and reduce the number of garlic cloves to 2-3 instead of 4 for a slightly less pungent garlic flavour.

  1. Peel and dice the potatoes into even sized pieces, place in a large saucepan and cover with water.
  2. Peel the garlic cloves, leave them whole and add them to the saucepan with the potatoes.
  3. Add a pinch of salt.
  4. Bring the potatoes and garlic up to the boil and then simmer until soft enough to easily mash.
  5. Once soft, drain and them mash the potatoes and garlic, together with the butter and milk until smooth and creamy.
