Today is Mother’s Day here in Australia and I’ll be spending quality time with my kids and my Mom. This Keto Chocolate Mousse Recipe is the perfect sweet treat to enjoy on Mother’s Day. (Or any day for that matter!)

This blog was actually born on Mother’s Day SIX years ago, so I get very nostalgic every time it rolls around. Six years ago my kids were 10 months and 2. They are now 6 and 8, so I always go back and read about life with my littlies and can’t understand how time has flown by so quickly.

I’m lucky to share a very special bond with my own Mom. The two of us recently had the time of our lives exploring Japan together.

So – Happy Mother’s Day to all. Enjoy the day and guilt free treats. Just like this.

I’ve shared heaps of low carb desserts on this blog. There’s something therapeutic about preparing desserts like this. Slowly melting and mixing together a delicious dish to share with loved ones.

The macros for this recipe really depend on the chocolate you choose to use. The higher the sugar content, the higher the carbs. Plus – serving size varies, your bowl size and mine are likely to be wildly different!

What I love best about this richly dark chocolate mousse is that there are only 4 ingredients and it couldn’t be easier to put together.

Keto Chocolate Mousse Recipe

  • 100g Chocolate, broken into pieces for easier melting
  • 100g Unsalted Butter
  • 2 Tablespoons Stevia (or more to taste)
  • 4 Eggs
  1. In a small saucepan, melt the chocolate and butter together over low heat.
  2. Once melted, remove from heat, stir through the stevia and allow to cool.
  3. While the chocolate mixture is cooling, prepare the eggs.
  4. Separate the eggs, placing the yolks and whites into two separate bowls.
  5. Once the chocolate mixture has cooled a little whisk the mixture through the yolks.
  6. Beat the egg whites until they form thick white peaks.
  7. Fold the egg whites gently through the chocolate mixture until completely combined.
  8. Place into the fridge to set for a few hours and enjoy!
