I was hesitant to share this recipe (if you can even call it that) because it’s not my invention. I’ve shown how to make these on my YouTube channel so many times in full day of eating and meal prep videos and there are always questions about making them, so I thought sharing a step by step blog post would be helpful.

First off – I usually only use one ingredient – ready grated cheese. Yes, you could grate your own cheese of choice, but I always have an open bag in the fridge so go straight to it when making keto cheese crackers.

Next – the frying pan needs to be HOT. That’s why I LOVE my red spot frying pan. You can easily tell when the pan is hot enough to add the grated cheese.

Add about a tablespoon of grated cheese per cheese cracker into the frying pan. And then – leave it alone! It may be tempting to move the cracker around, but don’t. It needs to be perfectly still to melt and then form a solidified cracker. Try to move the cracker too early and the cracker will just fall apart.

Your keto cheese crackers are ready when they are crispy and have formed into one solid sphere. Gently remove from the frying pan.

The crackers harden on cooling and can be enjoyed immediately or stored in an airtight container in the fridge and enjoyed within a day or so. Although, mine usually only last a few hours between my Husband and I!

Flavour Variations

As I said, I keep it simple with just one variety of grated cheese and nothing else. You can feel free to mix and match from the following flavour variations:

  • Mix up the cheese – add grated parmesan
  • Salt
  • Garlic Salt
  • Herbs and Spices – for example basil, oregano or paprika.

  • Cheese

Instructions

  1. Grate cheese (or buy ready grated cheese).
  2. Heat a large frying pan.
  3. When hot, drop a tablespoon of grated cheese per cracker.
  4. Allow the cheese to melt and crisp up.
  5. Once done, remove to a plate to cool and enjoy.
