About Me

Hello and thanks for visiting Yummy Inspirations.

My blog was initially inspired by my oldest son, who has been a fussy eater since he was 6 months old. He's now 4.5 and is very slowly opening up to trying more and more new foods.

My journey lead me to go back to University to study Nutritional Medicine, so that when I'm a Qualified Nutritionist (one day soon!) I can make a difference and help other parents nourish their children. Even if they're incredibly fussy... when there's a will there's a way. I've worked at it every day for the past 4 years - ensuring that he eats a wholesome, nourishing diet and doesn't just live on processed, damaging food.

Where are we now?

Following extensive research and preparation, our family began The GAPS Diet in December 2012 to address a number of health issues. It's been an intense learning experience and I'm optimistic that our family will achieve immeasurable healing.

We followed The GAPS Diet for a couple of months and while we were following a Grain Free Diet I wrote The Grain Free Lunch Box, filled with recipes that I used to fill my kids lunch boxes.

We have now transitioned back to eating grains again.

I hope you will find inspiration from my continuously evolving food journey and maybe even a recipe idea or two. ;)

Happy Cooking!
