Bento Supplies Clean-Up

Over the past year, I’ve slowly been accumulating Bento Lunchbox Supplies and my storage hasn’t quite kept up. This has meant my kitchen benchtop/tabletop has slowly been overtaken by cute food picks and mini cookie cutters! So, here is the before photo (eek!)…

As you can see, it’s a bit of a jumbled mess, overflowing and unorganized. On a recent shopping trip to Ikea, I spotted this INCREDIBLE storage box which was the solution to my Bento Supplies Storage problems!

I cleaned it thoroughly and (not so) patiently waited for it to completely dry before filling it with my Bento Lunchbox supplies. I now love looking at my beautifully organized box and am inspired to come up with new and exciting lunchboxes for the boys.

Here’s the after photo…

It’s great to have all my food picks and cutters together and be able to easily find exactly which one I’m looking for. My collection includes:

·        Food Picks
·        Vegetable Cutters
·        Egg Mould
·        Rice Mould
·        Decorative/Muffin Cups
·        Mini Sauce Containers

I decided to put together a star themed meal for the boys, using a few different sized star cutters and containers. Their Bento Lunchbox includes Cheese and Red Pepper Stars on top of Dinosaur Pasta, Cucumber and Red Pepper Stars in Green Star Cups and a Green Apple with a star cut out and turned upside down.

It’s always so inspiring to clean up an area of the kitchen and start anew – it felt similar to how I felt after my recent Full Pantry Clean Out.

I’d love to hear your best kitchen organization tip that inspires you.
