Mango Lassi

Mango Lassi Recipe

While I was on holiday earlier in the year I became a little addicted to the amazing drink that is Mango Lassi – sweet, tropical and the epitomy of a (non-alcoholic) holiday drink.

Mangoes are now in season in Australia (Yay!) and I’ve been making these Mango Lassi’s for the kids on a regular basis. The plan is to buy a tray of mangoes as the price becomes cheaper and cheaper and then peel, chop and freeze mango chunks so that we can enjoy this delicious drink for a little while longer.

A couple of recipe notes:

  • How much Raw Honey you add depends on the sweetness of your mangoes. Taste once blended and add more if you’d prefer your mango lassi a bit sweeter. (where to find raw honey)
  • If you have the patience to wait for your mangoes to freeze then you will be rewarded with an even more refreshing, icy treat than using freshly chopped mangoes as suggested in the recipe.

This Mango Lassi is so good, you’ll think you’re somewhere exotic and tropical… at least momentarily!
