Raspberry and Vanilla Smoothie Recipe - Low Carb Keto Smoothie

Keto Raspberry and Vanilla Smoothie Recipe

This keto raspberry smoothie recipe is seriously the best you will ever taste! It’s such a delicious combination of simple ingredients and loaded with healthy fats, that you’ll be making it over and over and over again – just as I have.

It comes from the book Fat Bombs by Martina Slajerova. I contacted Martina to let her know how much I adore her book and in particular the Raspberry and Vanilla Smoothie Recipe.

She generously allowed me to share the low carb smoothie recipe with you today, so I’ve shared the recipe as it appears in the book down below and I make a couple of alterations when making it.

Depending on my Protein intake for the day I may add a half a scoop to a scoop of protein powder to help reach my protein macro goal, especially if I’m enjoying the smoothie as a keto breakfast. I also reduce the coconut oil/MCT oil and sweetener volume to 1 teaspoon and find that works for me.

Fresh raspberries

You can use fresh fruit in the form of fresh raspberries, use frozen raspberries or any fresh berries you like in the healthy raspberry smoothie, that’s a great way to cool down on a hot day.

Mascarpone cheese or creamed coconut milk is used for the creamy and smooth consistency in the creamy smoothie, but you can feel free to swap for unsweetened almond milk, cashew milk, heavy cream, coconut cream or any type of milk or cream you usually include in your diet.

Stevia, Powdered Erythritol or Swerve is my low-carb sweetener that I usually use in sweet treats, like keto fruit smoothies. You can feel free to swap for your sugar substitutes of choice in this easy keto raspberry smoothie recipe.

Adding options chia seeds

You can also add in chia seeds or whole flax seed as great options for extra low carb diet friendly nutrition and fiber, peanut butter or almond butter for added creaminess and protein, a handful of spinach for nutritious greens or plain yogurt, plain Greek yogurt or vanilla yogurt to aid your digestive system with the help of this raspberry keto smoothie.

Make a chocolate raspberry smoothie by blending in a teaspoon of cocoa powder or grated chocolate or topping the smoothie with shaved chocolate for an indulgent finish. You can make a dairy-free smoothie by ensuring the milk and any protein powder you include is completely dairy free.

The low-carb smoothie is particularly perfect as a treat to make on valentine’s day or a special occasion.

Just take a look at the vibrant delicious raspberry smoothie which is simply irresistible as an afternoon snack after a long day, especially when topped with a generous swirl of freshly whipped cream or ice cream to satisfy your sweet tooth.
